10 Places to visit in Dubai

1 – The great Dubai Mall and its fountain show
First of all, it is the largest and most visited shopping center in the world, just that! Open from 10am to 12am, it has 1200 shops (including large luxury boutiques), hundreds of restaurants, a huge aquarium, an ice rink, a fountain, a go-kart track, a flight simulator, arcade games, etc. This is anything but a simple mall! You will also have access to the Burj Khalifa and the great fountain show presented outside every 30 minutes from 6pm to 11pm.
2 – Dubai Souk
This large Souk is located in old Dubai, in Deira; you can enjoy products such as Abaya for women, spices, carpets, and gold, for very advantageous prices! Dubai’s gold souk is the largest in the Middle East.
3 – The Global Village
This huge village brings together several countries from all over the world, each in a pavilion, in which you can enjoy several stands offering the specialties of the country concerned by the pavilion. Still inside the village, but outside the pavilions, you can find a large amount of food stall, a stage presenting performances by dancers, singers, musicians, acrobats, etc., attractions, some of the best fireworks in the area, and plenty of other unique things to see.
4 – The large Garden Glow and Miracle Garden
Garden Glow: Open from 4pm to 11pm, this park presents several structures of different staging with light effects and musical background. For higher rates you will have access to the Dinausor Park with several animated, moving and growling dinosaurs; Magic Park, a space where you can take pictures of yourself and stage yourself in 3D settings; and Ice Park with some ice sculptures.
Miracle Garden: Open only from November to May from 9am to 9pm (10pm on weekends), this park is a botanical garden with more than 150 million flowers, it is the largest natural flower garden in the world. There are impressive structures depicting Disney characters and even a replica of an A380 entirely covered in flowers.
5 – The Museum of the Future
Open only since 2022, it is considered one of the most beautiful museums in the world. You will discover many interactive exhibitions on innovative concepts in terms of environment or health for example.
6 – The Dubai Frame
This structure in the form of a giant photo frame 150 meters high allows you to contemplate, at its summit, the 2 parts of the city: on one side Old Dubai and its historic districts, and on the other the Burj Khalifa and Downtown. And to add a little sensationalism, part of the floor is glass. So you will be able to see everything that is happening under your feet.
7 – The Ferris wheel Aïn Dubai
It’s nothing less than the world’s largest Ferris wheel! The cabins rise to 250 meters high so you can enjoy a fantastic view of the whole city for 40 minutes. At the foot of this Ferris wheel, you can stroll along the alley that leads to it, with its many restaurants and shops.
8 – Dubai creek Park
What could be better than a walk and a picnic with family or friends in one of the largest parks in the city? This huge park located on the water’s edge is very popular with locals on weekends. They come to enjoy it as a family and children can have fun in the playgrounds present to let off steam.
In the park there are also 2 other attractions (paying):
- The Children’s City, which includes a planetarium and several spaces dedicated to the universe or the mysteries of the human body
- The Dubai Dolphinarium where you can swim with dolphins.
9 – The Mall of Emirates and its ski resort
The second must-see shopping center after the Dubai Mall, home to a ski resort! Equipment and clothing will be provided. What could be crazier than skiing in an indoor ski resort, when it’s more than 40° outside?!
10 – Souk Madinat Jumeirah
This hotel complex is home to many restaurants and shops, but it is its architecture that attracts the population. This place has been designed in a traditional style to recreate an oriental atmosphere. Several canals cross this place, leaving a soothing atmosphere. You will also have a view of the famous Burj Al Arab.
